Your fragrance questions
Unseen Aromas at a glance
What does inspired by mean?
Each Unseen fragrance has its own name, with the fragrance that inspired its scent profile shown separately. Unseen Aromas is independent of the original brands.
What size and price are the fragrances?
Our range is 100ml Eau de Parfum at £27.99.
Where are the fragrances made?
Made in the UK.
Are the fragrances cruelty-free?
Yes.
Are scent notes ingredients?
Scent notes describe the fragrance profile. They are not a full ingredient list.
Fragrances
What size are your fragrances?
All fragrances in our main range are supplied in 100ml bottles.
Are your fragrances Eau de Parfum?
Yes. Our main fragrance range is Eau de Parfum.
Can I try a fragrance before buying a 100ml bottle?
Sampling options are planned but are not currently available. We’ll add them to the website once they are ready.
How should I store my fragrance?
Keep your bottle somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight and significant changes in temperature. A drawer, cupboard or bedroom shelf away from a window is ideal.
How long will a 100ml bottle last?
That depends on how often and how much you use. A 100ml bottle contains considerably more fragrance than typical 30ml and 50ml formats, so it is designed to provide plenty of use even when worn regularly.
Choosing a fragrance
How do I find a fragrance that suits me?
You can start with For Him, For Her or Unisex.
You can then narrow the collection by scent family and view the individual fragrance notes on each product page.
Can I shop by scent family?
Yes. Our fragrances are organised across five main scent families:
What do the different scent families mean?
Fresh fragrances tend to feature clean, citrus, aromatic or aquatic notes.
Woody fragrances are built around woods, earthy notes and warm dry accords.
Amber fragrances tend to be warmer and richer, often featuring spices, resins or vanilla.
Floral fragrances place flowers and floral accords at the centre of the scent.
Gourmand fragrances use sweet, edible-style notes such as vanilla, caramel, chocolate or other dessert-like accords.
Are fragrances only for the gender shown on the collection?
No. The For Him, For Her and Unisex collections are there to make browsing easier. Fragrance is personal, so you can choose whichever scent appeals to you regardless of the collection it appears in.
Where can I see the fragrance notes?
Product pages show the scent family and available fragrance notes to help you compare fragrances before ordering.
About our fragrances
Are Unseen Aromas fragrances the original designer fragrances?
No. Unseen Aromas fragrances are independent fragrance products. Where a fragrance comparison is provided on the website, it is there to help customers understand the type of scent and is not an indication of affiliation with the original brand.
Why do some fragrances smell different on different people?
Fragrance can develop differently depending on skin, temperature, application and the other products you are wearing. The scent you notice immediately after spraying can also change as the fragrance develops and the top, middle and base notes emerge.
How should I apply Eau de Parfum?
Apply to areas such as the wrists and neck. You can also apply fragrance to clothing, although it is sensible to test delicate or light-coloured fabrics first.
Should I rub my wrists together after applying fragrance?
It is generally better to spray the fragrance and allow it to dry naturally rather than rubbing it into the skin.

Perfume notes explained
Fragrance notes are words used to describe what a perfume smells like. They are not the same as the ingredient list. A rose note, for example, describes a floral scent impression.
Where a supplier confirms a note pyramid, top notes describe the opening, middle notes describe the heart and base notes describe the underlying profile. These are useful descriptions rather than a precise clock for what every wearer will smell.
Some product profiles are presented as main notes instead. This avoids assigning stages that have not been confirmed.
Scent families are a broader way to browse. Fresh, floral, woody, amber and gourmand categories help narrow the range, but individual fragrances can include notes associated with more than one family. Check the actual product notes and inspiration before choosing.
